Not excessively crowded on a Friday
The exposure didn't seem that challenging, but all that rock caused my feet to ache considerably by the end of the day. Fire smoke made valley views a bit less impressive than I'd have imagined, and the best look into Tenaya was actually below the summit.
We managed to squeeze in this hike on one of the few storm-free days this summer!

Northeast Ridge
They don't call this piece of rock Clouds Rest for nuttin'! The reward for the long walk in the woods is unforgettable. I'd intended to walk out solo but out of the blue met a wonderful kindred spirit just before wading across Tenaya Creek and we ended up chattering the entire way out and back. Some patches of snow to navigate but otherwise smooth sailing.
a wonderful trail in a wonderful place see my trip report

Great day
Great climb. One of the best views I've seen. I was the forth one on top that morning so I didn't have to deal with the zoo.

Smoggy Day
Planned on a 3 day backpacking trip. Did the trip as a shuttle ride from the Valley to Tuolumne. Started at Tenaya Lake around 1pm. Reached summit with heavy packs at 6pm. Not great views due to the smoke from the parks fires. Still a great view. About 10 people were planing on spending the night on the summitt. We headed down to Sunrise Creek for a night full of bear visits. A canister is MANDATORY.

Many timesI have taken several family members and friends on this hike as the views are great and the slight exposure provides a taste of real climbing
