Northwest Orno

Orno Peak has several arms and several summits. (See topo map.) The northwest arm boasts the high point of Rio Blanco County, Colorado, seen in this photo. Point elevation is 12,027'. This awe-inspiring summit features a vertical face on the north and 360-degree views that take your breath away (if the elevation didn't). For a place of such grandeur, it is seldom visited by humans, maybe only 10-20 times a years judging by the summit register.
