Finally climbed North Peak NW Ridge
Nice solo climb on a 4th class ridge, pretty exposed in some spots. A lot of wind today, cold temps and some snow and ice. A great day outing though.

North Peak - NW Ridge
Three notches only tricky parts. First two generally have short/simple climbs into the notch and back out if you scout a little to the left (SE side). Last one did the downclimb on the right (NW side), then shuffled back up into the notch to find a short/easy climb to regain the ridge.
After that is most exposed but very secure section to gain summit plateau. Descent via SW slopes was more of a slog than I expected. Maybe I was just out of shape though..

Solo YOLO
Damn good climb, quality flakes. Stayed on the ridge with the exception of the last gap - down climbed the 4th class to the right.
Descent was meh, lots of boulder hopping. Sobering, given that this was the same day as the Conness soloing accident.

October Solo
From Saddlebag on, I saw no one all day. Ice and snow from a couple weeks ago had partially stuck to the trail as well as to the ridge, but was passable. I counted more gaps in the ridge than the two mentioned in the SP route description, altho no workaround was harder than class 4. No "jumping gaps" for this old guy. Lots of snow in the gaps but not a problem. The steepest part of the ridge is super straightforward and solid, lots of fun and air. The upper talus field had many patches of mostly avoidable snow. It was cold and I didn't want my socks wet. You can see Saddlebag from the descent saddle, and what ends up being more or less a beeline for the lake works pretty well, or did for me in October. A great scramble for a brokedown rock climber.

NW Ridge
Great scramble. Climbed this route with two other climbers (Scott and Rob). Good challenge at the second impasse and a great summit view.

Fun route!
First time dealing with such exposure, awesome time. Wish we could've hit Conness afterwards...
Started with this short route and followed with the North ridge of Conness. The technical section is fairly short and involved some big jumps in order to clear gaps. Fun route though.

Fun scramble
A fun scramble, climbed with D-Rod and ScottyS. It would be nice if the technical section were a bit longer, it was quite entertaining, steep but manageable.
