great hike!
One of my all-time favorite hikes! The good trail up the scenic canyon leads to a saddle in the ridge, which is a short ways from the summit. Incredible views and exposure reward you at the summit. Give yourself at least 5 hours from the highway to make the trip.

Sawtooth Canyon S.
Since I spent most of the morning hiking and exploring other nearby areas I didn't arrive at the trailhead until 4:30 p.m. I threw on a camelback and hustled up the trail reaching the summit at 6:00. Spectacular viewscape from the top. The trail was interesting as well with high canyons and a variety of fauna. From the top I saw a storm heading my way and hustled back to the truck by 7:30. I'd like to due the hike again when I have more time to enjoy all that this trail has to offer.
