Notice of Area Closure Ahead

The Park Service does the best it can to provide this sort of advance warning. Areas are also sometimes closed for moose (usually for being dangerously over-zealous in protecting their calves), and last year (2005), an area in the NW corner of the park was even closed off due to wolves! The wolf closure was highly unusual, and done not because of human danger from the animal, but to prevent any chance of interaction between wolves and humans.
