Cool!

I've always been a really big fan of fire lookouts. I'm all about preserving wilderness areas, but at the same time, the fire lookout is an important part of the history of our mountains.

My oldest sister "manned" a fire lookout for two summers when I was a kid, and I got to spend a week with her each summer. I've been interested in lookouts ever since. Thanks for the vote! -Bob

Great shot

The highpoint of Odell butte is just to the right of the lookout in the rocks. A benchmark is hidden in there and is fun to find. Best to go to the right of the steps near the bottom and do a little scramble up the rocks.
