As always Gangolf, your photos are stunning, and your report is riveting. I hope to visit this area soon. I'm amazed how accessible some big mountains are over there, compared to, for example, the North Cascades.

Oh what a day ! seems also the proper comment...

Last time I was there the weather was a bit different... we escaped early, also if people continued to arrive from Passo Pordoi and coming back (by car) to Canazei through Passo Fedaia we had to stop in the tunnel because of the storm.

But in the past I had also a nice weather like yours( only Viel del Pan, however).

And do you think that it could be easier to go along the ring in the opposite (clockwise) direction?

Fine report (and photos), obviously...

Ah, nice memories for me! We also had a nice afternoon there. But, surprisingly, even if it was in August, there were only a few hikers on the ridge trail and almost none on Bindelweg. But it was almost the evening when we returned on Pordoi.

I really enjoyed being a voyeur here today. Naked mountains are so sexy.

I was actually coming here for work...to find out how one might resize an imbedded image to something between a regular 650 pixels and the thumbnail size. There's an HTML code for it but I don't know it. I figured you do and there is my answer in the last picture. Thanks, GH.
