Wow ... impressive suncups, fun to look at, but knee busters to get through. You're having too much fun.

Thanks Jim. We actually didn't have to go through the suncaps. Just went there for some fun ;) Lower down we hiked through some slushy snow, but there was not a whole lot of it. With temps above 100F in Vegas the last few days the snow is melting fast up there. Cheers!

Anya,

this is what happens to snow during the
melting process. Be glad you're not
experiencing the avalanche conditions
of the higher mountains to the north.
When snow melts, it has to go somewhere.

Yes, we had some major avalanches off Griffith Peak down Echo Canyon in the past winters. Glad I wasn't there then.
