On one of many great...

On one of many great viewpoints along the panoramic road up to the plateau of Dobratsch. We are standing above the place of the great landslide. In distance the wild Julian Alps - Vis and Montaz group - are clearly seen. Below is the valley of river Gail/Zilja. December 12th, 2004.

Beautiful set of shots from Dobrac Vid! Somehow this one is my favorite. It is worth noting that below is Udine (IT) - Villach (AT) highway.

Yes, it is. I could do a photo of the whole Julian Alps crest, but nothing would be seen on it. Now we came (me and 3 beers) from a good basketball training, so perhaps tomorrow I'll think of some more pictures.

And it's funny, how Ziljica / Rio del Lago, which comes through Rabelj lake, cuts the whole Julian Alkps crest. Ant it doesn't flow towards east (Sava valley), nor towards west Bela/Fella, but strait across towards north into Drava. Crazy creek, I must say!
