Dmitry ...Is it true that with every 100' gain of elevation from the bottom of the GC, the
accumulation of snow increases by 10 percent???

Re: Dmitry ...That would be like double per 1000 ft? Maybe ... I couldn't gauge accumulation, just the total (which was pretty nonexistent below 5,000 ft). But I have a feeling that the N Rim gets a lot more snow than the South Rim, despite a relatively modest difference in elevations. Even South-facing terrain on N Rim was buried, while in the Village, there wasn't that much snow even in the shadow below the Rim, and virtually none in sunny spots.
