"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

In love with the OquirrhsI had lived in Herriman for a couple of years and been hiking with my dogs up Rose Canyon & Yellow Fork Canyon several times before I realized the trails there hook up with a 4WD road that goes to the top of Butterfield Peaks (turns out it's a 17 mile RT from the park parking lot). Climbing the SE ridge of Butterfield, looking down on West Canyon and across to Lowe and Kelsey was just breathtaking and I had to have more. I've spent the rest of the summer exploring the Oquirrhs, bagged several already and more planned--I'm hooked!
