Beautiful shot!I'm surprised that in Mexico snow can fall that low, all the way to the foot of the mountain! I'm wondering on which altitude it is?

Re: Beautiful shot!Snow level was almost to Tlachichuca which is around 8500 feet. One of our team was ill and stayed in the village the whole time. She said it poured rain the night we got snowed on. The locals claim its the worst storm in 18 years.

Re: Beautiful shot!It is a beautiful shot indeed. It has snowed in Tlachichuca before, but it has been several years. I don't know about it being the biggest storm in 18 years, sounds about right though. I am told by my father and many other locals that it used to snow like this much more often. My dad used to cross-country ski over a meter of snow fallen on the Puebla-Mexico City Highway. Perhaps those days are coming back. This has been the best snow season for these moutnains in many years. =-)
