from the gap
bagged this peak on our overland track walk, got perfect weather, could even see frenchmans cap from the summit. still some snow on top in early dec.
funniest thing was a few queenslanders who never seen snow before, they were going crazy in it.
i cant remember what the previous hut is called but there is very little water after this hut on the way to the gap and pretty much none once you leave the track to tackle ossa. make sure you take enough from the hut with you. we tried to eat some of the shitty snow but it was just too cold.

Tazzie adventure
Climbed the easy scramble mountain in thik fog together with my wife and two friends. Enjoyed it a lot.
The Overland Trek was super. Just had to hike the Tassi Highpoint. Thought I saw a footprint of a Tassi Tiger in the middle of the Trek. Too big for a Wombat or Dingo and no dogs around. Don't think you guys have wolves. Also hiked the Victoria & NSW highpoints!

Mount Ossa
Cant remember exact day, but it was a beautifu clear winters day and my first trip to Tasmania. Could not believe how beautiful the scenery was. It was just awesome...

From Pelion Gap
Hiked to the summit through the clouds and wind but had luck on my side by getting amazing views as the clouds broke from the summit 15 minutes after I got there. A nice scramble from Pelion Gap and a must if you're on the Overland.

Fog Out
Zero visibility but no rain - best weather on our 5 day Overland Track.

Route Climbed: Pelion Gap
Worst weather of the 5-day Overland Track bushwalk. Visibility around 50m with gale force wind. Luckily got a good view of Ossa from surrounding peaks the preceding and following days.

Reached the summit by lunchtime after setting out from Kia Ora Hut and leaving packs at Pelion Gap. Including about 30 mins on the summit for lunch and photos, the return trip from Pelion Gap took approximately 6 hours. And we were by no means rushing!
