I just hiked the Long Gulch Route today, my 5th different route up the mountain! It was a nice hike and not too difficult. It's important to point out that this route does pass through private property in a couple locations, as signs along the way indicated this. They were all to the effect of "Private Property No Hunting Allowed".
Thanks ... I thought that might be the case, but I've never taken the trouble to look at a detailed map showing the boundaries between private and Forest Service lands. I haven't been there in 3 or 4 years, so the signs are new since my last visit.
Peace, Jim
