From Bear Lake, hiked up Flattop Mtn, Ptarmigan Pt, Hallett Pk, and Otis Pk, descending Andrews Glacier. Great view of The Sharkstooth from the summit.
Arrived at Andrews pass around 1 and it looked like storms were going to be rolling in so instead of heading up the Sharkstooth and Taylor we made a quick jaunt up Otis and headed down Andrews glacier. Nice views. Beautiful hike back down to Bear Lake TH.

Taylor Glacier
Climbed the steep Taylor Glacier and summitted Powell, Taylor & Otis before descending Andrews Glacier.
Climbed in icy conditions up the glacier. The glacier was covered in hard black and blue ice. Descended into Chaos Canyon (not recommended). Took a nasty fall that probably would have broken my back had I not had my pack on my back. FUN TIMES!!! YEAH!
i came down Andrews a few weeks ago unprepared. had little slip that turned into an uncontrolled yet fun decent. i can't imagine a tumble down chaos canyon.

From Hallett Peak
This was my third summit of the day (Hallett and Flattop). These three summits are frequently hiked together. Descended Andrews Glacier. It was just one of those days were you felt strong all day. I sometimes wonder how I can replicate what I ate and the circumstances the day before to have that feeling all the time.
Chaos canyon isn't as bad as it sounds (but I wouldn't use it as a descent route). Some rock-hopping just above lake Haiyaha. Minimal snow available to still make it really fun, but a great loop. Highly recommended - 8 hrs RT at a leisurely pace. Ice axe and crampons needed for Chaos glacier, approx. 40%. Wanted to tag Halletts too, but had to be back down by 3, so just Otis today. Super fun glissade down Andrews to the lake! Breathtaking views on the CD!

boulder hell
hiked after flattop and hallett. jamie and i were having a nice day until the descent off otis. got cliffed out everywhere before finding safe passage to the basin. from there, a boulder-hopping/climbing through nightmare ensued and we hiked out a couple hours after dark. went back the next day to retrieve her lost gloves(found them!).

My 11 year old son summited via Andrews Glacier - the last part was rough for him but after he signed the register he was on cloud nine, boot skiing down Andrews.

Via Andrew's GlacierRkymtn, BR and I had a heck of a day making it to the summit. Winds were high and gusting with cold temps making it a tough 12er.
