  • Edition: 1987 (out of print)
  • Features

    Advantages

    • Written by a respected CO climber and guidebook author

    • The bible of Flatirons hiking, scrambling, and moderate routes

    • Routes range in difficulty from Class 1 to 5.8

    • Compact

    • B/w photos to help you sort out the bewildering array of formations

    • Decent route descriptions, although I have noticed some of the trails may have been rerouted since it was written (e.g. approach to Stairway to Heaven)

    Disadvantages

    • Uses the National Climbing Classification System (NCCS) for difficulty not YDS

    • Out of print, so expect to pay a lot more than the original $14.95 retail price unless you luck out and find it at a garage sale

Pretty good
A good book from one of the experts however it is a little outdated and lacking on drawings/pics.
