They'rrre heeerre - CCHALIENS HYBRID ALIENS are regarded as the aid climbers best friend due to there amazing ability to plug into thin cracks, pin scars and pockets. You'll find HYBRID ALIENS become a regular part of your free climbing rack as well due to their unique ability to make solid placements in radical flaring cracks. Pairing different size cam lobes together on opposite sides of the flexible cable stem allows HYBRIDS to fit cracks with both pairs of cams engaged at the optimum (mid point) position rather than having to "force fit" a standard cam into a flare. This assures faster and higher strength placements for leader and also easier removal for your partner. Contemplate this - most cracks flare more than you may realize (which is why spring loaded cams work so well in the first place) - if a standard cam works pretty well in moderate flares, then the reciprocal is true - ALIEN HYBRIDS will work equally well in parallel cracks and have the distinct advantage of secure placements in flares. Features

HYBRID ALIENS feature different size cam lobes on opposite sides of the flexible stem. Placed in a 20 degree flaring crack, both cams are equally compressed (expanded) for the highest placement strength possible. More radical flares (up to 30 degrees?) can be accommodated and require the smaller cam lobes to be compressed more fully while the larger lobes are closer to "maxing out".
