The ideal sun hat
I use this OR hat almost any time I don't have a fleece on my head. Because it's fitted with a bit of stretch, no chin strap is required and yet it stays on my head even when the wind is strong enough to make walking difficult. The brim isn't big and floppy like typical sun hats so it doesn't flap around in the breeze although it consequently does not shade all of my neck and shoulders. It is made of nylon, so even though it is very thin it's admittedly a little less breathable than nothing. Nonetheless, I frequently leave it on under a helmet without trouble when I need extra sun protection and it isn't scorching hot. When I need more sun protection on the sides of my face and back of my neck I add a bandanna underneath the hat with perfect results. I've bought a couple of these now because I don't know what I'd do if they were discontinued - I think they're the best sun hat you can buy.
