I don't leave home without this vest! I purchased the male version, but a friend has the female one and loves it as well. I've run into trouble with vests in the past having thick seams. When you put a 50 pound pack on over a vest with thick seams, you find yourself chaffed and often bruised. The seams on this vest are strategically placed so as not to allow this to happen, especially on the shoulders. The zipper is covered with a windtight (for the most part) flap. It allows for a free range of motion and contributes to warmth for the wearer. The pockets are roomy and the zippers on them allow for reliability as well. A good investment for the frequent climber/hiker.

Jacket
Thought about the vest, but I opted for the Tech jacket by Mt. hardware. It has been great. Cold wind not a problem. Works well as a base layer. Pricey, but solid equipment for the climber or hiker who plans to be out in windy cold weather.
