Hello Zee !Personal question time here on the big SP !
When participating in High Uinta activities
during the heat of the summer, don't you ever
have the urge to "soak yourself" in one of these lakes ???
Which lake do you like the best? Do you have
a favourite, or are you more of a mountain
person than a water person?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Re: Hello Zee !Hi El,
I personally never get the urge to "go jump in a lake". I'm not much of a water person, but on the last legs of a long hike I do like to soak my tired feet. I don't really have a favorite one, but I just visited Red Castle Lake 3 days ago and that one is I think the most striking. I'm pretty sure there is a picture of it on the Utah Wilson Peak page. I'm about 3 trips behind, so it will be awhile before I post one myself.
Cheers!

Re: Hello Zee !Final thought ...
I really like your Oweep Peak page; very well
put together. You seem to have a fascination
with maps and the precise location of landforms, which really complement your work.
You must have walked past hundreds of small
lakes during your hikes and scrambles.
Red Castle is a real gem. When I first
visited it in 1983, I was also very impressed! Have a nice weekend and cheers!
