Route Climbed: Northeast ridge.
Pagoda Mountain 4,113 m (13,497 ft). Did the climb with Colorado Mountain Club members. The approaching to the mountain and the climb itself was great, despite the windchill at the top. The views of Longspeak were amazing!.
Traversed over from the base of the Homestretch. Dropped down through the cliff band and ascended straight up. We dropped down the final gulley below the cliff band and traversed back to the keyhole, definitely the best route.

Glacier Gorge
I love the hike up to the shelf above Black Lake, but all that scree on the last stretch makes me question if I'd do it again any time soon.

From Hunter Creek
I finally made it to the top on my third attempt. The first two attempts were from the Black Lake side. The third time we back packed up Hunters Creek and camped in the cross country zone below Keplinger's lake. We decended via the west ridge to the saddle between Pagoda and Chiefs Head. A spectacular place to be on an August day.

What a mountian. The approach, the views along the route & the summit were absolutely amazing. Upper Glacier Gorge impresses me more and more every time I visit. The middle third of that gully sucks though.
Route Climbed: Northeast Ridge from Longs' summit Date Climbed: August 7, 2004
After climbing Longs and Meeker from the Longs Peak Trailhead, we made the traverse to Pagoda, which involves an interesting downclimb through what Roach terms "a pesky cliff band." Otherwise, the traverse is straightforward. Good lord, the view of Longs you get from Pagoda's summit! And Pagoda's south and east facing cliffs are beyond comparison! After returning to the Longs/Pagoda saddle, we descended south down a nasty scree gully (it sounds as bad as the one from Glacier Gorge), bushwhacked to the unique Sandbeach Lake, and hiked the Sandbeach Lake Trail to a vehicle we had dropped at the Copeland Lake Trailhead. A trip report is available here.

Route Climbed: East Ridge Date Climbed: August 1970Climbed via the East Ridge ... descended via the West Ridge. The descent was considerably more difficult than the ascent.
I've visited this summit 4 more times since 1970.

Route Climbed: Northwest Face and Northeast Ridge Date Climbed: August 21, 2003A great hike into a beautiful area. The climb is great except for the 1500 ft from Green Lake to the Col leading to the summit. This was filled with some of the worst scree and talus I've seen in a while. I didn't see anyone else until I started down past Black Lake. Little did I know that just minutes ahead of me was Kane who is the maintainer of this page. I'd never met him until after the climb (me on Pagoda and Kane on Spearhead) back at the trailhead. It really is a small world.

Route Climbed: Northwest Face/Northeast Ridge Date Climbed: 7-24-2003A long day but the scenery more than makes up for the long approach. Pagoda was one of my favorites.
