Loop with Goodykoontz and Bobcat Knob
From Burkhart Campground, up Bobcat, then Goodykoontz, then the C-119 plane crash, then over Pallett. This is the nicest part of the Angeles National Forest. http://ironhiker.blogspot.com/2019/07/pallett-plane-crash-loop.html

Nice hike over from Islip Saddle with Mark; not as fun on the return up to Williamson, but a nice hike for a day with an early return requirement.

From Islip Saddle
Out and back from Islip Saddle tagging Williamson, Goodykoontz, Pallett, Will Thrall, and Pleasant View Ridge along the way.
Helped a lost PCT Thru-Hiker that had made it almost to the saddle between Williamson and Pallett get back to the PCT where it crosses over the south ridge of Mt. Williamson.

From SR2
Spent the day tagging a bunch of peaks around this area, much fun. Trip Report
I parked near the Williamson trail and then went into the canyon that goes up to the ridge east of Pallett. I summitted Pallett and then followed the ridge back up to Williamson and then down to my car. It was a good long hike and I returned in the dark. I remember going to an In-n-out very late in the valley when I got back, hungry yet very satisfied.

One of three peaks we did today (Will Thrall/Pleasantview Ridge/Pallett Mountain). Though the weather was starting to look threatening, we got down before the lightning and thunder started rolling through. Great hike!

From Buckhorn
Hiked up the Burkhardt Trail to the saddle and then up the use trail to the summit. I was the first car at the TH and I didn't see a soul until I got back to the junction with the Rattlesnake Trail. The open summit affords great views.

Route: Pleasant View Ridge
Today, we first climbed Mt. Williamson and then took the Pleasant View Ridge to Pallet Mountain. Then dropped into Burkhardt Saddle and up to Will Thrall Peak. Finished off by continuing west on the ridge to Pleasant View Ridge Mountain itself (7,983' but not marked on my topo). To return, we went back to the saddle, down the Burkhardt Trail and then onto the PCT southeast to get back to the cars.
