Beautiful day, lots of people over there, but really nice place.

ROUTE: Selba de Oza
Challenging day for two people who barely knew each other. We shared the navigating and got it right, with a bit of help from some guys coming down off the summit who told us how best to appraoch the col.
The scree section was a tough one for R, still new to the game. Thick mists continued to swirl deeper around us and at the top, the view was ..let's say, on-and-off and we saw very little.
Coming back down it rained on us, but we were back on easy ground by then.
Went back to the area with the Club two years later (2009) and it's still as magical as it was then.

My second visit to this mountain, this time in solitary. After my return of the Andes of Peru I needed to back to my dear Pyrenees. I've climb the easy and pretty Punta del Rincón de Alano (2353m, it's the final peak of the Sierra of Alanos), and finally I've reach the col between the 2 peaks with the Peña Forca to climb it (2 possibles way from the R.de Alano: ridge of the left side or the evident channel under the geodesic vertex of P.Forca). The ridge of P.Forca is very alpine with magnific views of Pyrenees (Anie, Mesa, Petrechema, Chipeta, Castillo de Acher, Bisaurin, Anayet, Infiernos, Garmo Negro,... all of them old friends that I wanted to return to see).
In spite of everything in a sunny day of a saturday of August only 5 persons climbed this mountain this day. It is necessary to continue giving it to know.

A lot of snow and a great climb to this mountain. The final ridge was a little dangerous for the snow. Only 3 persons, of a group of 8, we reach the summit with a rope. Amazing views in a sunny day. One of my first experience in snow. Unfourtunely I don't have my camera of photos these day.

Wauv, splendid viewsHiked up from the east via a STEEP and isolated valley and in the end scree to the summit. Clear blue sky and superb views of Castillo Acher.
