Pectols Pyramid-- Chimney on SE Face

As you can see, this chimney seemingly reaches the summit ridge itself. Whether it actually does or what the difficulty is, I don't know. After climbing it a bit, it narrowed to the point of being little wider than my body, and the climbing became beyond my skill and comfort level. To access the chimney, scramble up above the dark rock band and then make a short but somewhat-exposed traverse into the chimney. Capitol Reef National Park, UT-- October 2010
