The expanse of the Don Sheldon Ampitheater lies beyond, with the summit of Mount Silverthrone (skyline, just right of center) dominating the skyline at the head of the North Fork of the Ruth Glacier some nine miles distant. Several air taxi companies in Talkeetna offer service to the ampitheater.
