Red Pine  Sucess!

Fun, quick jaunt. To top in a couple of hours. Good views. Nice summit pyramid. Climbed the same day I flew into Salt Lake City from the east US.

Awesome Climb  Sucess!

Some of the best views in the wasatch! If you've been up to Red Pine Lake, make the extra push up to the Pheiff - it's totally worth it.

Red pine   Sucess!

Fun half day hike. Minimal scrambling. Great views. Very jealous that folks in salt lake have this mountain so close

second time  Sucess!

Second time to the top, the first when i was younger than 10 (so my memories were mainly faded). Very nice hike, took about an hour and a half to get to the lakes. From then on our pace slowed, but it wasn't too hard of hiking. Easy routefinding, and beautiful view from the top. Saw some hikers doing a loop up Maybird. They said it was a scarier scramble (and I believe them) getting to the alpine ridge, but seemed well worth it. May check out that or the beatout next time i'm considering the Pfeiff.

Cool Peak!  Sucess!

My first peak in Utah over 10k. Also my first since moving to SLC. What a beautiful area. Quite crowded though. I think it was the second most crowded mountain I've ever been on.

Via Red Pine  Sucess!

Took the morning off work and went up Red Pine. Made good time until I hit the snow. Made for a fun decent, though.

Beautiful views from the top, I didn't want to leave.

Via Red Pine  Sucess!

Went in Thursday afternoon and camped at the Upper Red Pine Lakes. Headlamps for an early morning start up the spur ridge and then up to the top - nice going during the week - hardly anyone there. Fall colors are starting and the area looks beautiful.

Red Pine/ East Ridge  Sucess!

This is a nice hike. The trail is steep in parts. There were mountain goats all over which made it really entertaining. I did this summit with Robert and Shawn.

6/27/14- I went to this summit again as part of the Beatout Route.
