Pfifferhorn trail_Yunona_3 years old_crossing 10000ft
We did not have a car in the summer of 2006 when my family of 2 children (3 and 1 year old) came to US. In spite of this "minor" inconvenience, we started to hike in honest . We biked or pushed bikes, when ascend was steep caring children and backpacks to a trailhead for several (2-5) hours, At least for perents sometimes it was harder and much less rewarding to get to a trailhead than to hike as strenuous hikes as Mt. Timpanogus (14.5 miles, 4500 ft elevation gain to 11750 ft).
