There's one at the rock gym near my house. It seems like it should be a convenient way to build clmbing-specific endurance. Does anyone use one of these as part of their regular workout? Can you suggest tips as to how it can be effectively used as part of an overall training program? Thanks in advance...
We've got a few at my club. I used them for a while while I was rehabbing a shoulder injury and really liked using my shouders in a way that related to a real world activity.
My climbing partner and I use it to pump out at the end of the night. We will make a game of it. Will do rounds at different inclines and different speeds. See who can run the longest. We will go back to back until we can't hold an empty cup. Mix it up by doing rounds using only certain holds, etc. Works well. Get pretty pumped.
Like anything, I think I work harder when I have somone to challenge me.
