That is true. I just meant up Avi Gulch, since that is how most people head up.

This is the second big alteration of the landscape around Mount Shasta lately. A few weeks ago the Sacramento River revealed that it had changed its course some time over the winter, wiping out some bridges on the Lake Siskiyou Trail in the process. Read about it here and here.
