Hi,

this is my first winter in the West Alps and it seems like I will have more than a week of spare time but no climbing partner over the holidays (26.12-7.1) as all my new friends here will be gone to their families.
But after years in the East Alps and having a GA (free train rides in Switzerland!) I can't make myself leave the West Alps. Any ideas for solo tours or place to find climbers? I have traveled a lot around the world on my own, in summer times, and never had problems finding climbing partners. But in winter I expect things to be more difficult.

My plans was to go to Chamonix first and stay at the Ski Station hostel (http://www.hostelz.com/hostel/74815-Chalet-Ski-Station). Hopefully find some partner there. Any suggestions? I'm also interested in solo climbs.
Hoping to do mixed, ice or ski touring.
