Piegan and Cataract   Sucess!

Two very easy peaks. This is basically just an extended hike. But nonetheless great times and great views!

Piegan  Sucess!

I've summited Piegan a few times. Once with Tyler, in 2014 I think and again with Hannah and Sage in 2017. I might of climbed it another year too.

Trio!  Sucess!

Easiest mountain in the trio (Piegan, Pollock, Bishops Cap). Simple scramble across scree from turnoff from Piegan Pass trail. Great views of GNP

Four for the Fourth  Sucess!

7/4/17 w/Ryan Stadheim

Piegan, Pollock, Bishop's Cap, and Oberlin for an epic "4 for the 4th." Hauled a grill up Oberlin for a sunset grill out. One of the most memorable days of the summer.

lunch creek route  Sucess!

Mark slipped while climbing up onto a snowfield and racked his balls on the edge. What a memory!

First Scramble in GNP  Sucess!

This is a great introduction to GNP. Easy trail to Piegan Pass, and easy cross-country scramble to a saddle and summit. Stable slopes, expansive views. Probably the easiest major summit in the park.

Short trip, big payoff!  Sucess!

Summer 2012

Climbed this one with Jose and Colin, two Peak Performers, from Lunch Creek. A very hungover climb, never felt so good after a sweat. The saddle above Piegan Glacier was impressive, as were the views from the summit. The views of Blackfoot Glacier Basin and a slew of 10000 footers await atop this easy summit. From here we headed for Pollock...

From Lunch Creek

For such an easy climb, the summit views, particularly towards the Blackfoot Glacier Basin, were really impressive.

Piegan (windy day)

Fun climb, but very windy and unable to enjoy the summit for as long as we would have liked to. Storm came in quickly. Great views.
