Surreal Summit  Sucess!

Crags Route only to top out in a parking lot! Decent hike, though! Early stages of Covid19 infection definitely hampered my enjoyment that day!

Mid Donuts  Sucess!

This hike was a blast. Started at 5 AM and summited by 11. Donuts were overrated. Snagged the shuttle back down.

Paul lyons  Sucess!

Fabulous climb...took me 7 hrs 35 minutes from parking lot in Manitou Springs to the top. View was awesome. I was 72 when I did the hike. Use to high elevation hiking. Elevation didn't bother me but my legs were feeling it the last mile to the top. Easy trail to follow. Be sure you are use to long hikes...and you're acclamated to high elevation...because it's 13 miles to the top on the Barr Trail. The slope averages about 11%. Do it! Paul PS Hope to do Mt Massive this year at age 76.

New Highest Summit  Sucess!

Parking lots filled up by noon. I had a reserved slot but I was glad I showed up a little early. The cog train runs year round.

Pikes  Sucess!

We drove up, but I hiked the last little bit so I’m counting it! This is such an historic mountain. It was really beautiful as well. I was with Melissa.

From the bottom  Sucess!

Parked at the Barr trailhead, walked over to the Incline. Made my way up and moved back to the Barr trail. A few hours later hit the summit, or at least what was once the summit before all the landscaping. Didn't feel like walking back down so I took the train, highly recommend if you're feeling a little lazy. No storms, just a few clouds that afternoon

Lazy way up  Sucess!

I took the lazy way up and drove to the top. Parking was easy to find, the road wasn't crowded (YMMV, this was on a fall weekday), and construction was pretty much complete. Temps were in the low 40s and windy with occasional hail around 1 pm.

My First 14er  Sucess!

My first ever 14er back in 2014. Summitted and then a storm hit and my friend and I were able to get the last 2 available seats on the cog railway headed down.

Pikes Peak. First and oldest mountain freinnd  Sucess!

first climbed with Mom and Dad and brother, I have since lost track of the times I've climbed this wonderful mountain and the countless days I've spent on its lower slopes. Just out of town and worlds away.

Winter Crags  Sucess!

Harder day than expected, the snowstorm from 2 days prior wrecked havoc on any previous trench from near treeline and beyond. Active construction site on the summit to replace the summit house.
