On the way to Lewis
Snuck up to the top of Eyrie on the way out to Lewis with my wife and son. Cold and windy! Tough to enjoy the wilderness as there we 10s of motorcycles all over the top of the ridge line. It's a shame what they have done to Eyrie. The trail to the summit has turned into a three foot deep trench from motorcycles ripping up it.

On the way to Lewis
Hit the peak on the way to and from Lewis Peak. A hot, dry, dusty day with good views.

First time doing this in Snowshoes...Changes a relatively boring summer hike into high adventure. 3 Miles of breaking trail on a lonely mountain. Absolutely spectacular veiws of Ben Lomand, Pineview and the whole area from the traverse. Exhausting but a definite "do it" climb!
Recommend a go on Sunny days right after a hard snow storm.

Eyrie peak is a speed bump on the way to Lewis...Nice detour, pretty view, feeling of success, but most people press on.

Twofer
Summited twice today, Once on the way out to Lewis Peak, and then on the return. The North East approach to Eyrie still has quite a bit of snow and made for a tough 10 minute scramble. Coming from the other side was dry as a bone and easy. Great day!
GO UTES!!!

Feelin' Eyrie
Climbed it today by myself. It was steep and exhausting. Snowshoes were a must. Still alot of deep snow up on top. I have never felt so tired! On the plus side it was a beautiful day and I only saw two other people. Time for a beer.

Eyrie PeakEyrie Peak is on the ridge leading to Lewis Peak that happens to be higher in elevation. It's worth the side trip to the summit.

The Lewis Peak trailThis peak is just a few minutes from the Lewis Peak trail and is very easy but enjoyable.
