City or Place: Tajikistan, Central Asia
Skill Level: Intermediate
Categories: Mountaineering
Partner Status: Want Partners
Description
Type of climbing: mountaineering. Involving fixed ropes and some rock scrambling. Very high altitude (up to 24500ft). Not much in terms of Glacier crossing. As far as I understand, this peak (as well as neighbouring Korzhenevskaya 7105m) is certainly not a walk-up, but on the other hand not very difficult technically.
In the past I have climbed in three differnt occasions in former soviet unions. Tien Shan, Altai and Caucassus. Never at this altitude though. I am comfortable, although not fluent, with speaking Russian.
Entry point: Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. I plan to get there 21/7 and leave from there mid August. No firm dates yey.
A good website for info about the climb and the base-camp support can be had here:

| in doing Peak Communism and Peak Korzhenevskoj! Like you, I haven't been that high yet. In the former Soviet Union I have climbed in Caucasus and Kyrgyzstan and I can also speak some Russian. The dates between mid July - mid August are fine for me.
Let me know,
