Howdy,

I have just started the permit process for a standard West Ridge climb of Shivling with an Indian operator - http://adventuremania-india.blogspot.com/ for about $2,750.

I have never been to India before and am just starting on the permit process but I guess like all trips, I have some friends who when push comes to shove, may not be able to attend the trip. As an idea of our make up, our current proposed team, myself included have high altitude experience but would not consider ourselves strong technical climbers...but hey we have 6 months to figure out how to put crampons on the right way up :). We are 30 - 40 y.o Commonwealth (Oz, Kiwi, Pom and Singaporean)
