Overview

The Plattenturm (engl. slab tower) is a well bolted climbing area in the Halltall, near the city of Innsbruck. It offers some low angeled multi-pitch climbs mostly on good limestone. The friction is excellent, as is the ambiance.
From below the face to the northern mountains

Getting There

Leave the motorway A12 at exit Hall-Mitte and head for Absam. Go by Salzbergstraße uphill to the toll road into the Halltall. Leave the car at the parking area St. Magdalena. Hike back down to the road and cross the creek. Follow the path to the face (10 min.).

Red Tape

No red tape. Parking is allowed only at the marked sites. Take all your stuff back to the car!

Camping

Camping is not allowed in the valley. A good and clean camping site with nice views is at Hall (Scheidensteinstraße 26, 6060 Hall in Tirol; Phone: +43 (0)5223 45464 75)
