Well, it's part of the Carpathians and they are our spiritual home, aren't they? :) Besides, I did wonder what are the advantages of this part of the Bieszczady (national park) over the Sudety or Western Beskids, and came to think that first of all it's the more varied scenery, then no towns in sight.
