Winter Presidential Traverse
North to South solo traverse over one night and two days. High pressure brought blue skies and arctic air. Overnight low of about -10 with average winds both days. Camped in Spinx Col. Snow squall chased me down the south side of Washington on day two.
Great trip up Mt Washington during Feb.'13. Good dose of the famous bad weather, but not enough to end our trek. Completely awesome experience. Love to come back to this area in summer and do the Presidential Traverse, and others.

almost perfect weather
Did the full traverse. We were going to try it in 24 hours but, despite a forecast for clear skies, rain began as we approached Jefferson (welcome to the Whites) so we decided to descend to the Perch and sleep in the leanto. Finished the next day in absolute perfect weather. 60 degrees, slight breeze and crystal blue skies.

A Bit Late in Coming
Did the single-day Traverse (+Clay) with my buddy from school. Done in 19.5 hours, even with my friend's re-aggravating an old knee injury while descending Washington (he's a tough guy, ha)!
OY OY OY Friggin Freeeezin'! I remember getting up late at night and seeing the moon over the snow/ice. Very beautiful. It was worth crawling out of my warm sleeping bag for! We came up Crawford -> Washington Great fun. Got me hooked on winter camping, bigtime. My first experience with spruce traps!
