Providence Peak seen from the northeast. It’s not very prominent when viewed from the other direction but from here it is a big mountain combined with Logan Peak. This photo was taken in early October.

I love big mountains ..

But, what is that "bald spot" at the bottom
of the hill? A former wildfire, maybe?

I'm trying to imagine how many elk there
must be in that area. WOW ...

I can imagine a very large number.

I don’t think there was a wildfire. There are jeep roads in that valley though. You’re right about the elk. I see a lot of hunters in this area during Fall.
