Comfrey (Symphytium officinale – Polish: Zywokost lekarski)) is very popular in Poland. It is a perennial herb with deep roots. Comfrey has large, rough, prickly leaves and bell-like flowers. Flowers can be of various colors, but purple are most common. Comfrey's roots are used to make tea for stomach and intestinal problems.
