With Vanessa,
The date is a guess! It was before I kept a log of climbs, but we camped between the Mirror Lakes and the summit even though it can be climbed easily in a day from Longmire or the Kautz Creek trailhead.

Full day
Iron, Copper and Pyramid. Snow made it slower.

Rain. Rain. Rain. Beer. Rain.
Climbed Pyramid Peak with a friend in some of the wettest summit conditions I've experienced. Returned to the car and dumped a few ounces of water out of my boots. Cold. Wet. Windy. Fun.

Outstanding!
A fun hike with my OSAT friends on a clear and warm day in the mountains. The views of Rainier from the summit were sublime.
Amazingly there was still a good 4-5ft of at the foot of the peak. Brought ice axes and actually needed them on the ascent. Camped on a melted-out flat rock in the valley below Pyramid. Awesome evening with great star display.

Great weather and awesome snowpack! Party of 6 comin'
in from Tahoma Creek. Beautiful views of Mount Wow,
Indian Henry's Hunting Ground, Mirror Lakes & Mount
Rainier. Saw a party of climbers assending Kautz Cleaver.
Think they spent the night at Camp Hazard. We were there
just for the day and the views.

Route Climbed: Tahoma Creek - SW ridge up - SE ridge down
Stayed up till 3 a.m. the night before drinking, didn't eat dinner, only had an energy drink in the morning... and paid for it on my way to the summit. I can't remember the last time I felt so fatigued. Lesson learned. Still a relatively easy summit, had a good scramble up the SW ridge and enjoyed blue skies and amazing views. Stayed the night in the valley and summited Copper Mountain in the morning before heading back. I was very impressed with this area. V e r y...

Group of six of us made summit on Pyramid. Great weather on the way in, although Rainier was clouded up by the time we reached the summit. Saw a black bear foraging for berries in the valley below the peak -- awesome!
