The east ridge is always long and crowded, so you may want to try the west ridge for variety. The route is rocky and loose but was fun scrambling.

Beautiful
A beautiful hike. Had the trail to myself on the way up, not so much on the way down. Unfortunately, the summit had no visibility and very high winds when I was on top but still a great morning.

Great Hike
Goats everywhere and we even saw a band of intrepid adventurers who had just destroyed "The Ring" at the top of "Mt. Doom". The weather was clear all day and afternoon so t-shirts and pants were comfortable. Stopped in town at La Montana Linda for a post-climb mexican binge.

Quandry Meteor Shower Night Hike
Began in the wee hours of the morning in the shadows of the full moon on the East side. Stopped at treeline and higher alpine areas to watch the Perseid meteor shower, or what we could see, as the bright moon interfered. Occasionally lost the trail on the upper parts of the trail due to darkness. Reached the summit at 6am and watched the sun rise in the sky and warm the windy peak over the course of two hours. Descending in bright light was made more pleasant by the bright colored flowers, goat hair caught in the spruce, and aspen. Overall a picture perfect hike.

Fun with Goats
Hiked up the standard east ridge route. May be "easy", but still plenty scenic! There were some mountain goats right on the trail on my way down - got some awesome close-up shots of 'em. Always a great day when above timberline!

Good Dog 14er
Bagged this one with my Boxer, his first 14er. We saw two mt. goats on the way down and 6 other dogs.

Number 8!
Took forever to get up the upper east slopes, including about 100 yards of snowfield to cross, but it was a rewarding summit. Sketchy clouds in the distance kicked me into gear and I passed dozens of people on the descent to get to treeline!

Fun climb up the Cristo couloir. No visibility and was snowed on, but snow conditions were prime and the ascent is pretty straight forward.

Climbed with my Father. We were knocked to the ground above timberline by a lightning strike. Climbed again in July 1988 to photograph the "Cross of Stone" on Fletcher Mountain.

East Ridge
Camped at the TH and climbed the East Ridge. It was a record snow year in CO and 3-4" of fresh snow fell while we were there. Conditions were good though and we shoed up the whole way. It was a beautiful hike through the woods but unfortuately the visibility was poor on the upper ridge.
We enjoyed an early morning skin in wintry conditions and skied down the east ridge of Quandary. We were hoping to ski the Cristo Couloir but visibility was down to 100 feet by the time we hit the summit.
