Quick Little Hike
Cruised to the top in just under 2 hours to catch the sunrise, then ran down in just about 45 minutes. What an awesome morning! Beautiful hike, but the 6-7am crowd was crazy busy. Glad I started at 4.

Lotsa folks up there!
Great hike marred by my partner having to bag out with only 400ft. to go vertical. I summited and then came back to him, along with about 80 other people!

East Ridge
Awesome views, weather and company. Liked the forest approach. Climbed with Dave and Brian. 4th 14er in five days!
Consistently steep pretty much the whole way. Carrying my 31 pound 3 year old definitely gave me a workout. We made it down in about an hour though. Great day, good weather. Some wind on the ridge but not bad on top. 14er #3 for my 3 year old, and our 3rd in CO since moving here.

Get there early and go on a weekday if you can
This is a very popular 14er and you should be prepared for a circus at the summit and quite a line to get up. We arrived at the trailhead at 5:45 Sunday morning. The main lot was full by 6 when we started hiking. Do this hike on a weekday if you can. We summited in just over 2 hours as 2 hikers in good shape. Truly spectacular views but we would probably not do this one again on a weekend.
Left Boulder around five am and made it to the trailhead just after seven. Crisp cool morning. There was not a cloud in the sky and the views from atop Quandary of the Sawatch and Elk Ranges to the west, the Mosquito Range to the south, the Front Range to the East, and the Tenmile Range to the north were all fantastic. Excited for my next fourteener!

Nice 14er with bonus mountain goats
Started early enough to beat the weather, saw a family of mountain goats near the trail on the way down. Sweet!

QuandaryUp the Cristo Couloir and out the East Ridge. Fairly straightforward. Didn’t even really need crampons but they did make it easier.
