Quartzite on Landslide Peak

The peak in the background is Geneva Peak. Quartzite is a beautiful rock found abundantly high on many Front Range peaks, but the pieces are usually small enough to be carried in one's hand easily. This one was about the size of a large bed. Front Range, Colorado-- September 1, 2007
