Roly-poly ATV trails but great views
Rode in the back of a Tacoma as far as we could take it driving northwest from Toy Pass and then followed the ATV trails (which have some seriously steep ups and downs - exhausting on the way back) to where they faded away. Obvious route up the ridges from there, although picking your way through the sage and broken rock toward the top was tiring. Great views from the summit and so green by late May! 12.5 miles RT and nearly 4000' of cumulative gain.

Great solo hike from Toy Pass. Saw lots of deer, and the Owyhees are very green this time of year. Trip Report

Long ridge traverse on a very cold and windy May day. Left a summit log just east of the top.
