I assume...

...that is a caldera. Is that correct? Do you know when this volcano erupted that formed the caldera. Thanks.

Quilotoa caldera..

Quilotoa volcano has erupted every 10-14,000 years during the past 40,000 years.

Its most recent large eruption about 800 radiocarbon years ago is what formed the caldera.

The last eruption was registered on Feb. 4th 1797.
