UphillThat's a good shot Dean. Because of the sideways direction this shot is taken at, you can actually see that the angle of the snow is maybe 45 degrees or so.

really? I thought the trees on the right were growing "crooked" (inclined).

Re: UphillEric is right, the trees you mention are crooked. Check out the trees on top of the ridge and you'll see that they are straight up.
A nice snow hike and a great conditioner. My quads barked at me for several days afterwards.

PerspectiveWhat a rakish angle! You really get a sense of the space. The ridge looks pure as the driven snow. :-)
