fall of 99 with partner Todd. trained by climbing back to back climbs on taquitz. slept at base, pitch 11 and big sandy. followed the vomit of 2 kids from colorado who were trying for a day climb. hard to haul because of terrain. go light if you can. plenty of water at base. fun
NW Face, 1980.
First (climbing) trip to the Valley,I was sixteen, and climbed it with another 17 and 18 year old. My first wall. We had two of these new fangled things they called "Friends." All the rest was stoppers, hexes and youthful enthusiasm.
