afternoon hike
I dawdled coming up Beartooth Pass so I got a 140 PM start. Three hours and ten minutes starting from the parking lot just north of the bridge. Some pea gravel and class 2 on the final summit climb from Republic Pass but otherwise a pleasant woodland hike. The first mile or so is up an old mining road that has a few homes at the end.

Clear day
Climbed on a clear autumn day with Shelley, who elected not to make the final climb up the peak from Republic Pass, where she waited in a sleeping bag while I made the short ascent. It felt really good to dump the 50+ pound multi-day pack at Republic Pass while I summited.
