On our route the first target was to ascend up to the small top of Meikle Lump. This is a steep trek up to the summit of Meikle Millyea. When leaving the forest area and entering the open moorland you get this fine view of the Rhinns of Kells ridge that after Meikle Millyea snakes off north to the summit of Corserine. This picture was taken about 20 minutes before the rain set in and the clouds give it quite a sinister look.
